Soil surface measurement methods
1. Select a representative soil environment and clean up the surface debris and vegetation
2. Insert the sensor vertically and completely into the soil
3. If there is a hard object, change the measurement position and re-measure
4. For accurate data, it is recommended to measure multiple times and take the average value.
Buried Survey Methods
1. Make a soil profile in the vertical direction, slightly deeper than the installation depth of the bottommost sensor, with a diameter between 20 cm and 50 cm.
2. Insert the sensor horizontally into the soil profile
3. After installation, backfill the excavated soil in sequence, compact it layer by layer, and ensure horizontal installation.
4. If conditions permit, the removed soil can be put into bags and numbered to keep the soil moisture unchanged, and backfill in reverse order.
Measurement Annotation
1. All probes must be inserted into the soil during measurement.
2. Avoid direct sunlight on the sensor, which may cause the temperature to be too high. Pay attention to lightning protection on site
3. Do not pull the sensor leads too hard, and do not bump or bang the sensor.
4. The protection level of the sensor is IP68, and the entire sensor can be immersed in water.
5. Due to the presence of radio frequency electromagnetic radiation in the air, the power should not be turned on in the air for a long time
