What are Industrial EC Sensors?

EC (Electric Conductivity) is also known as electrical conductivity. Electrical conductivity refers to the ability of water to conduct electric current. In water quality monitoring, electrical conductivity is one of the important indicators reflecting water quality.

Generally speaking, EC value refers to the concentration of soluble salt in water. Industrial EC transmitters can be used in cross-section water quality, aquaculture, and sewage treatment. If it is during the seedling raising period in fish farms, salinity measurement is extremely important, especially for marine aquaculture.

In order to monitor the conductivity value in water, we generally use industrial EC sensors, also called industrial conductivity sensors. As a professional monitoring instrument for measuring solution conductivity, industrial EC sensors are often used for continuous monitoring of the conductivity value of aqueous solutions such as cross-section water quality, aquaculture, sewage treatment, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals, food and tap water.

Our Features:

It has the characteristics of high stability, excellent repeatability and high measurement accuracy, and can accurately measure the EC value and temperature value in the solution.

It has functions such as 0~2V, 0~5V, 0~10V analog voltage output, 4~20mA analog current output, digital RS485 communication output, etc., all have electrical isolation measures, and the isolation voltage is 1650V.

Our advantages:

1.A variety of electrodes are available, making the measurement more accurate and reliable

2.The cost-effectiveness is very high and suitable for large-scale promotion.

3.Digital linearization correction, high precision, high stability, flexible installation, and convenient use.

4.Analog quantity, RS485 and power supply are all separately isolated and do not interfere with each other.

Technical Parameters:

Selection of matching electrode constant:

Electrode installation form:

Matters needing attention:

1.The conductivity cell should be installed in the pipeline where the flow rate is stable and bubbles are not easily generated. It can be installed in a side-flow manner to avoid inaccurate measurements.

2.Concentric tubular electrodes should be installed horizontally, obliquely or vertically with their front ends facing the FLOW direction and deep into the flowing water body; electrodes of other structural shapes should be installed sideways to prevent the turbulent air pressure in the measurement chamber from causing measurement data disorder.

3.The measurement signal is a weak electrical signal, and its acquisition cable must be routed independently. It is prohibited to connect it to the same set of cable connectors or terminal boards as the power line and control line. It is prohibited to pass through pipes and bundle it together with the power and control lines to avoid interfering with the measurement or piercing the instrument measurement unit when damaged.

4.To ensure the safety of installation operation, turn on the power supply only after the installation is completed and checked.

EC little knowledge:

1. After pure water and mineral water have been stored for a long time, the conductivity value will rise too high at the beginning, and the total number of viruses and colonies will also increase accordingly. At this time, it is not suitable to drink it raw, which will affect health.

2. The conductivity value of pure alcohol is zero, and anything greater than zero indicates impurity.

3. The conductivity of the aqueous solution is directly proportional to the amount of dissolved solids, so the smaller the indicated value, the less impurities in the water.

4. If the community has secondary water supply, or water is supplied by the top-floor water tank, it is easy to cause secondary pollution. The conductivity value should be tested frequently, and the property department can be urged to clean it in time.

5. How much detergent should be put in the washing machine? Conductivity testing can digitize experience. After the cleaning process, if the value detected before drainage is similar to tap water, it can be considered clean. If the value exceeds tap water, the amount of detergent should be reduced.

6. If fruits and vegetables are soaked in water, measure their conductivity. If it is too high, there may be chemical pollution, which should be paid attention to.

7. When swimming in a swimming pool, the cleanliness of the pool water can be measured. If the indicated value is too high, it should be taken seriously.

8. If the reading of a deep water well is above 600, it means that the impurity content is too high.

9. Due to different water sources and pipelines, the conductivity values in each region are different. Water in the north is generally hard, contains more calcium and magnesium ions, and has a higher conductivity value, which will cause scaling. Generally, hard water is 300-800 (scaling), and super hard water (saline water) is greater than 800 (serious scaling)

10. After the fertilizer is prepared according to the regulations for the first time, measure its value and use this number to facilitate future preparations.

11. The water used in the aquarium can be measured to know its cleanliness. If the value rises too much, the water should be changed in time.

12. The value of water used in marine aquaculture can be measured for future preparation and testing.
