In the IoT industry, we often compare transmitters to the five senses of humans. They are not responsible for being beautiful; they are responsible for sensing.
What is a sensor? What is it used for?
First, what is a sensor? A sensor is a detection device that can perceive the measured information and convert the perceived information, according to certain rules, into electrical signals or other required forms of information output. This meets the requirements for information transmission, processing, storage, display, recording, and control. Its characteristics are miniaturization, digitalization, intelligence, multifunctionality, systematization, and networking.
First, it is essential to clarify the difference between a sensor and a transmitter. Nowadays, people say that a sensor consists of two parts: the sensing element and the conversion element. The sensing element refers to the part of the sensor that directly senses or responds to the measured variable. The conversion element refers to the part of the sensor that converts the measured variable sensed or responded to by the sensing element into an electrical signal suitable for transmission or measurement.
Transmitters come in a variety of types. The transmitters commonly used in industrial control instruments mainly include temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, current transmitters, voltage transmitters, and so on. A transmitter functions as a signal amplifier. Generally speaking, a transmitter provides power to the sensor and amplifies the signal.
Today, I'm going to introduce the wireless pressure transmitter. The wireless pressure transmitter is a battery-powered, low-power, wireless digital-output wireless digital pressure gauge, also known as a smart wireless pressure terminal.
The wireless pressure transmitter can be optionally configured with GPRS, LORa-IoT, and NB-IoT wireless communication protocols. It features a built-in laser-welded pressure sensor that provides accurate real-time pressure display, along with high precision and excellent long-term stability.
