Recently, Xi'an Guanke successfully completed the installation and testing of a multi-directional meteorological environment monitoring system at the Wutumeiren Solar Power Generation Base in Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province. As an important supporting project for the 100MW molten salt tower solar thermal power generation project, the meteorological monitoring system plays a vital role in the stable operation of the power station and the effective use of solar energy resources.

The solar thermal power generation project is located on the Gobi Desert at an altitude of more than 2,900 meters. The terrain is flat and open, with a total planned land area of about 23 square kilometers, of which the solar thermal area covers an area of about 4.3 square kilometers. It is an important part of my country's energy supply-side structural reform.

The meteorological monitoring system installed this time adopts advanced technology and equipment architecture, and three sets of meteorological environment monitoring stations are set up around the three directions of the collector tower. At the same time, two sets of wind speed and direction monitoring systems are set up on the top of the collector tower. The units work closely together to achieve all-round, fully automatic, and three-dimensional synchronous monitoring. The meteorological station is equipped with an integrated meteorological sensor and a high-performance solar radiation sensor, which can accurately measure a variety of key solar radiation parameters and transmit them to the control system of the power station in real time, providing reliable data support for the operation of the solar thermal power station.


The meteorological environment monitoring system is equipped with the internationally advanced Kipp & Zonen SOLYS 2 solar tracker, which has been widely used in solar thermal and photovoltaic power plants around the world. It complies with the specifications of the Benchmark Ground Radiation Network (BSRN), has high environmental adaptability and reliability, and is easy to install and operate, providing strong technical support for the project. During the installation and implementation process, the technical team of Xi'an Guanke also relied on professional knowledge and rigorous attitude to ensure the accurate installation of key equipment such as trackers in one go, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data.
