Water tank level sensor - resistive water tank level sensor

 

A resistive water level sensor that can be used to sense changes in water level or liquid interface, made of multiple resistors connected in series and probes derived therefrom, or resistor rods (strips, tubes) with continuously distributed resistors, or resistor wires wrapped around insulating plastic rods. This is achieved by the principle that the built-in resistor of the device has partial conductive properties with the measured liquid. The total resistance of the sensor has a good linear relationship with the depth of the sensor immersed in water or liquid. By measuring the resistance value of the sensor, the depth of the sensor immersed in water or liquid can be obtained.

Installation ：

The tank sender should be mounted on the top of your tank. Drill a hole in the top of the tank using a 40mm hole saw and insert the tank sender. The sender is supplied with a rubber gasket to ensure a tight seal is formed on the tank.

Ensure you purchase a sensor just shorter than the height of your tank. The bottom of the sender should almost touch the bottom of the tank.
